Services

The purpose of Wattle Tree Wellness is to enhance the skills, knowledge and wellbeing of practitioners and teams who work in high-stress environments and who are regularly exposed to trauma. We are passionate about supporting social, youth and community work practitioners to stay resilient, strong and empowered in their vital roles.

Supervision and Coaching

Supervision is a cornerstone of professional development, ethics, and well-being, ensuring that practitioners continue to grow, learn, and thrive in their work. It is an essential component of best practice and helps practitioners maintain their professional identity while managing the complexities of their roles.

At Wattle Tree Wellness, we adhere to the Australian Association of Social Work Supervision Framework, which focuses on three key elements: education, support and accountability. Tania has been providing supervision to those who help others for 20 years and she offers a safe, non-judgmental and supportive space for you to reflect, debrief, enhance your skills and knowledge and problem-solve challenging situations. There is also always room for some good humour and a reminder to take good care of yourself.

Wattle Tree Wellness provides supervision and coaching services to practitioners across NGO, government, and private practice settings. Our expertise covers a wide range of areas, including relationship trauma, domestic and family violence, sexual abuse and violence, family support, youth work, child protection, compassion fatigue, vicarious trauma, workplace stress, and crisis services.

Supervision and coaching can be provided individually or to teams, with sessions tailored to meet the specific goals or purposes of the individual or team. The supervisory relationship begins with a free introductory phone call to discuss your needs and ensure a good fit between the services offered and the support required.

Sessions are scheduled at mutually convenient times and can be conducted face-to-face or virtually, providing flexibility to suit your needs.

Group work

At Wattle Tree Wellness, we offer a range of group therapeutic programs designed to support individuals and families navigating challenging circumstances. These programs are facilitated at the location of the organisation that contracts our services, creating a safe and supportive environment for participants to engage in meaningful learning and healing.

Our group programs include:

  • CROSSROADS ( Inala Community House ): A trauma-informed, reflective parenting program designed for parents and carers whose children have been impacted by domestic and family violence. This program helps participants navigate their parenting journey while healing from trauma and building healthier relationships.
  • BRINGING UP GREAT KIDS ( Australian Childhood Foundation Professionals ): This program focuses on developing mindful and positive relationships between parents, carers, and children. It equips participants with practical tools to foster emotional connection, resilience, and understanding in family dynamics.
  • Tuning in to Kids®(Tuning in to Kids for Professionals | Home): A well-established program that teaches emotion coaching skills to parents and carers. By focusing on emotional awareness and regulation, this program empowers parents to strengthen their relationships with their children while fostering emotional intelligence.

Each of these programs is facilitated with compassion and expertise, offering participants the opportunity to learn and grow in a supportive group setting. If you are interested in bringing one of these programs to your organisation or would like more information, please reach out to us to discuss how we can support your team and clients.
